Manual Coarse Screens

MANUAL COARSE SCREENS

Manual coarse screens are the simplest screening mechanisms which are used to remove large solid particles from the system before entering the plant, in all kind of water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. They have no mechanical components. Therefore, cleaning process is done manually with the help of a hand rake. They are mounted to channels at an angle between 55° and 90° depending on the requirements. Manual coarse screens are commonly used in small wastewater treatment plants. Larger plants which use mechanically cleaned screens for primary treatment purposes may also prefer to use manual coarse screens in overflow by-pass channels. This type of screen increases the efficiency of treatment process by eliminating some possible damages on pumps and mechanical equipment. Sismat Uluslararası Manual Coarse Screens are mainly made up of frame, screen bars, hand rake and waste container (if required).
